Nari Shakti in Sanitation: Kavali Municipality Felicitates Women Champions with Swachh Nari Shakti Puraskar
Empowering the Frontline: A Celebration of Dedication and Service
In a significant move to recognize the "silent heroes" of our city, the Kavali Municipality organized a grand felicitation ceremony to confer the Swachh Nari Shakti Puraskar upon our exemplary female sanitation workers. The event, held at the Municipal Office, served as a powerful testament to the dedication of the women who work tirelessly to maintain the hygiene and dignity of Kavali.

12 Champions of Cleanliness:
A total of 12 women workers were selected for this prestigious award—3 from each of the 4 divisions of the municipality. These awardees were chosen based on their exceptional performance in:
Source Segregation: Ensuring 100% separation of wet, dry, and hazardous waste.
Public Interaction: Educating households on the importance of the RRR (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) concept.
Consistency: Maintaining pristine cleanliness in their assigned beats.
Leadership and Arrangements:
The entire program was seamlessly executed under the leadership of Sanitary Inspector MD. Basheer. From the selection process to the final event arrangements, the coordination ensured that our workers felt truly valued.
The Municipal Commissioner personally handed over the awards, expressing his deep gratitude for their contribution to Kavali’s journey toward a top rank in Swachh Survekshan 2025-26.
A Unified Vision for a Swachh Kavali:
The ceremony saw a massive turnout from the municipal family, including:
Ward Sanitation and Environment Secretaries from all wards, sanitary mestries from across the four divisions and lady Workers who came in large numbers to support and celebrate their colleagues.
The Swachh Nari Shakti Puraskar is more than just an award, it is a symbol of Kavali Municipalities commitment to gender inclusivity and the dignity of labor. As we march toward the national rankings, we do so on the strong shoulders of our Nari Shakti.
