Plastic Free Market Campaign - Swachh Andhra Swarna Andhra Initiative
In a significant step towards sustainability, Kavali Municipality in collaboration with the Elders Club Association, has launched a Plastic Free Market Campaign at Raithu Bazar, Kavali as part of the Swachh Andhra Swarna Andhra Initiative. This campaign aims to curb the use of Single Used Plastic in commercial areas, promoting a cleaner, greener and healthier environment for the people of Kavali. The campaign is a proactive effort by the Kavali Municipal Commissioner who envisioned a plastic free marketplace to enhance cleanliness and environment sustainability and encouraging alternatives like Cloth Bags, Bio-degradable Bags and Paper Bags. Ward Sanitation and Environment Secretaries, Municipal Staff and Members of Elders Club Association educate the vegetable vendors and consumers on the impact of the plastic pollution.
